What is Funding Needs Registry? 

Welcome to the Funding Needs Registry, a portal to connect our community's charities and their funding needs with potential support from LCF's donors and fundholders. We have recently updated the online system to better serve charities in London and Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada.

Please note: the Registry is not an application for a grant, it is a registry of current community funding needs that we share with our donors for their granting consideration. As a community foundation, LCF manages an endowment made up of hundreds of donations from people in the community. We disburse a portion of the earnings from the invested endowment as grants to qualified donees. Some disbursement is directed by our donors – we share with them, for their granting consideration, the funding needs submitted to the Registry according to the donors’ charitable interests. The donor would decide the funding need(s) they want to support, and we would process that grant.

The Organization Profile must be completed as an Applicant Task before you can create your first funding needs submission. After you complete the profile and your first funding needs submission, subsequent funding needs submissions will bring your profile information forward to re-use or update information, if there are changes.

Another Applicant Task is to complete a Funding Needs Submission form to let us know what you need, why you need it and what positive changes will occur. Be compelling! Be precise and brief! We will accept up to three (3) funding needs submissions per year per organization.

You also have options to upload documents and images in support of your funding need submission.

LCF staff will review your information and advise if your funding needs will be included in the registry catalogue for sharing with our fundholders and donors for their granting consideration. 

Whenever possible, LCF will work to connect your funding needs with funding support. We encourage organizations to update their profile and needs at least once per year.

The registry is open to qualified donees, including registered charities serving London and/or Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada.

Is there a deadline? Does the funding needs submission need to be updated yearly? No, we accept submissions year-round. Your funding need remains in our registry and will be removed under the following conditions: you let us know the need no longer exists - we will archive that submission; your funding need is granted completely from LCF funds.

What if I have 3 active submission and want to delete one to add another, or make some other change to my submission? If you need to make changes to your submissions or have any other questions regarding the registry, please contact grants@lcf.on.ca OR 519-667-1600 X105
